Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence: The Secret of Peace and Happiness
By Fr. Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure and St. Claude de la Colombière · Published by TAN Books
Overview
Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence is one of the Church's most beloved guides to abandoning oneself completely to God's loving will. Drawing upon Sacred Scripture, timeless Catholic theology, and the spiritual wisdom of Fr. Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure and St. Claude de la Colombière, this classic work reveals that true peace is not found in controlling life's circumstances but in confidently entrusting every joy, sorrow, success, and trial to Divine Providence.
With remarkable clarity and pastoral warmth, the authors address enduring questions about suffering, unanswered prayer, God's permissive will, and the mystery of evil. Rather than offering abstract theology, they provide practical guidance for cultivating serenity, overcoming anxiety, and discovering lasting happiness through complete confidence in God's loving plan. Whether facing seasons of uncertainty or simply seeking a deeper spiritual life, readers will find this little masterpiece a faithful companion on the road to holiness.

Growth to conformity to God's will.
Excellent material to grow deeper in the Faith. Though written in the 17th century, still very relevant, readable and thoughtful today as we continue in our journey to work out our salvation and faith.

Good food for thought
Our group thought this would be a good quick read for book club discussion with a one week turnaround time. Surprisingly quick reading for the depth and weight of the content. Much food for thought with some discomfort providing room for growth. God is good ALL THE TIME, but sometimes there are bitter pills we must swallow.
