St. Isidore of Seville
St. Isidore of Seville (c. 560–636) was a Spanish bishop, scholar, and Doctor of the Church, often called the last of the Latin Fathers. As Archbishop of Seville for over three decades, he unified Visigothic Spain under Catholicism and championed education, monastic reform, and ecclesiastical discipline. His most famous work, the Etymologiae, was a vast encyclopedia of classical and Christian knowledge that shaped medieval learning. Revered for preserving ancient wisdom through turbulent times, Isidore was declared patron saint of the internet by Pope John Paul II in 1997. His feast day is celebrated on April 4
