Formed in Christ
High School Theology
The Formed in Christ series helps high school students plumb the spiritual depths of Catholicism found in centuries of theologians, saints, councils, and papal teachings. It incorporates the traditions of the Church while also referencing the Catechism of the Catholic Church, more recent church documents, and great minds of recent years, such as Pope Benedict.
Consisting of six core units and five electives, this series is brought to homeschool families through TAN Books’ joint partnership with the St. Paul Center (Emmaus Road Publishing). It is the perfect resource for parents who want their older students to have a solid theological foundation before setting out into the world.
Individual lesson plans are available. Includes textbooks, workbooks, and a companion video series.
Father John Laux
High School Theology: Preconciliar Track
The Fr. John Laux series of theology texts has been a staple for many decades in the lives of faithful Catholic families who want to educate their high schoolers in the truths of the Church. Written before Vatican II, we called this our Preconciliar Track.
Fr. Laux’s theological exposition grounds students in orthodox argument following the methods and logic of St. Thomas Aquinas. Includes a four-volume series: Chief Truths of the Faith, Mass and the Sacraments, Catholic Morality, and Catholic Apologetics, as well as two additional texts on Sacred Scripture and Church History.
