Our Holy Faith Vol 8: Alpha and Omega
Published by TAN Books
Overview
Give your child a solid foundation in the Faith with the acclaimed Our Holy Faith series of religion textbooks for grades 1–8. Long trusted by families for orthodox Catholic formation, this newly re-typeset TAN Books edition has been revised with modernized language, updates reflecting current Church practice, and expanded content that strengthens comprehension and retention. Lessons are enriched with additional explanations of core concepts and relevant quotations drawn from Sacred Scripture, the saints, and the Catechism.
Yet catechesis is only half the battle. Formation must reach the heart as well as the mind. The Our Holy Faith series aims to foster holiness by engaging children spiritually through “For Me to Do” activities that encourage real application of what they learn. These new TAN editions also include traditional prayers from trustworthy sources, giving students a concrete way to exercise their faith and build devotional habits aligned with each lesson.
Book 8, Alpha and Omega, continues where Book 7 ends and covers the second half of Baltimore Catechism Two. Students study the precepts of the Church, the commandments of God with emphasis on duties toward neighbor, vocations, and the means of grace: the sacraments, sacramentals, indulgences, and prayer. This textbook includes tests and an answer key, and a pastoral video series is also available.

A couple things that could be improved
The biggest issue I have is the answer key being in the back of the book. The answer key can not be easily torn out so my kids would definitely look there for the answers if doing the questions on their own, so we have to do them orally or I have to rewrite the questions.

Homeschool Catechism Program
I have 2 - 7th graders who are making their Confirmation this year. I homeschool and use this book for Catechism Class. It is a marvelous and complete instruction on the Sacraments and Precepts of the Church and much more.
