FAQs
What makes this book different from other Catholic parenting guides?
Well-Ordered Family combines timeless Catholic principles with proven business management systems. Conor Gallagher draws from both his experience as a CEO and father of fifteen to offer a structured, repeatable framework for leading a household with order, peace, and virtue.
Is the book meant only for large families?
No. While Gallagher’s insights come from managing a large family, his tools and methods—vision planning, family meetings, systems design, and metrics—apply to families of all sizes. The principles scale easily from a household of three to ten or more.
Do I need a business background to benefit from this system?
Not at all. The concepts are written in plain language, with Catholic grounding and real-life examples. Parents with no management experience will find the worksheets and processes straightforward and intuitive.
How Catholic is the content?
Deeply Catholic. Each section integrates moral theology, prayer, and the sacramental life, emphasizing that order in the home must begin with order in the soul. It’s a practical system rooted in the Church’s vision of the family as a “domestic church.”
Can this be used in a parish or study group?
Yes. The book includes built-in structure for group discussion, reflection, and incremental implementation. It’s ideal for parish formation, men’s or women’s groups, or Catholic school faculty development.
What kinds of tools are included?
Readers receive over twenty-five practical tools—such as sample family mission statements, meeting templates, routines, and worksheets—to help translate spiritual goals into concrete daily habits.
What is the ultimate goal of the Well-Ordered Family system?
To cultivate peace, unity, and sanctity within the home by aligning the family’s practical operations with its spiritual purpose—so that order becomes a channel of grace.
