    The St. Gallen Mafia

By Julia Meloni · Published by TAN Books

    Overview

In the mid-1990s, a discreet circle of high-ranking churchmen began meeting in St. Gallen, Switzerland. United by opposition to Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the group would later be jokingly described by one of its own members as a “mafia.” Yet behind the humor lies a serious question: what influence did this network exert on the direction of the Catholic Church?

In The St. Gallen Mafia, Julia Meloni undertakes a meticulous historical investigation into the group’s origins, motives, and long-term objectives. Drawing from public statements, memoirs, interviews, and documented evidence, she examines the alleged strategy to influence the 2005 conclave, the internal divisions surrounding Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and the tensions that marked the pontificate of Benedict XVI.

The book also explores the intellectual and pastoral legacy of key figures associated with the group, including Cardinals Achille Silvestrini and Carlo Maria Martini, and considers their perceived role in shaping the climate that preceded the 2013 conclave. Thoroughly researched and carefully argued, this work presents readers with a detailed account of one of the most discussed ecclesial controversies of recent decades.

    • Examine documented accounts surrounding the St. Gallen meetings
    • Explore the dynamics of the 2005 and 2013 conclaves
    • Understand key theological and political tensions within the modern Church
    • Review endorsements and commentary from prominent Catholic voices

Cardinal Martini lives in Pope Francis

Posted by CHAD J. on Dec 27th 2022

This might be the most important resource for the informed Catholic who doesnt have their head in the sand at this time in the Church. It might also be the best way to open the eyes of those Catholics who do. Julia Melonia does a masterful job of showing the documented proof that the Synod on synodality unfolding within the Church right now is as the late Cardinal Pell described as a toxic nightmare that the Church must free itself from in his last testament after his sudden passing. It also provides concrete documented proof that back door politics within the highest ranking members of the magisterium in papal conclaves are as corrupt as those in jaded democratic governments of the western culture. Although the Holy Spirit is present at every moment of the Churchs life this recorded event illustrates that men of free will can actively reject cooperating with Gods will to bring about the reality of a man made agenda being implemented under the outward appearances of the visible structure of a divine institution. There actual conspiracy to undermine the Church made in His image and likeness and transform it into their own is well underway. May divine intervention stop this insidious plot to destroy the Church from within for the sake of the Remnant of committed Catholics that still hold the actual faith and have had the fortitude to stay within the Ark amidst its greatest storm in its 2000 year history.

So sad to read how these cardinals are trying and succeeding to infiltrate and change our Catholic religion.

I really appreciate this book being published and available. This book is exemplary for the many sources provided that helps explain to me the long history of the modernist effort to change the church. It helps me better understand an explanation of the underlying reason for the apparent confusion associated with the actions - and failures to take action - on the part of Pope Francis. It lays out in detail his philosophic following of Cardinal Martini and the "dreams" of changing the church consistently following 2,000 years of tradition to go from a strong papacy with a universal set of beliefs to a much weaker papacy and regional churches run by local synods of bishops. Local synods that, as we see brewing in Germany right before our eyes, that could endorse different moral and political views in different parts of the world. No wonder Pope Benedict xvi predicted a smaller, more faithful church at some point in the future. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is seriously concerned with the direction of the Vatican in this time. I anticipate this smaller church , if Pope Benedict;s prophetic view is correct, that it will be the only one that will be able to point to universality of belief and practice.

I believe it takes courage to expose evil wherever it exists. Lets hope this is read by many. Pray for our highest leaders of the church to fight and do what is best for the Holy Catholic Church.

This book gave the missing puzzle piece of why certain prelates are behaving the way they do and why no one bothers to correct them.

Posted by Eugenio P. on Jun 5th 2022

Very well substantiated theme that said mafia conspired and executed (in a Lenin like fashion) the installation of an extremely radical pope -- Francis! This is severely worrisome, that very extreme and revolutionary radicals have infiltrated the Church at the very top in order to break its oneness as well as to nullify its orthodoxy and its faithfulness to Christ;s teachings. There are plenty of reasons at this point to be very concerned about the heresies being supported by Francis and said mafia, and about the future of what up to now has been the one true Church of Christ since its birth on the day of Pentecost in 33 AD. Could it be that there is today an antipope in the Vatican?

It is a very detailed examination of the chain of events that has brought our Catholic church to where it is today. Who knew that this "plan" went as far back as it did? I was/am surprised that the leaders of the church even back then had such modernistic attitudes.

Thank you, Miss Meloni and TAN for such an informative, well-documented book. Meloni;s compact work is an eye-opener. She connects the dots (both well-known and obscure) to paint a picture that should horrify and infuriate any Catholic who cares about the Faith handed down from our ancestors. As an English major and fellow writer, I am impressed at how Meloni writes such clear and compelling prose and makes her point without resorting to the febrile verbiage one often finds in our overheated rhetorical culture.
