The Passion of the Christ Through the Eyes of Mary
By St. Anselm of Canterbury · Published by TAN Books
Overview
No one witnessed the Passion of Christ more intimately than His Blessed Mother. The Passion of the Christ Through the Eyes of Mary invites readers to accompany Our Lady from Gethsemane to Calvary, contemplating the sufferings of Jesus through the heart of the Mother who loved Him most. Drawing upon meditations attributed to St. Anselm of Canterbury and St. Bernard, this devotional classic unveils the profound union of Christ's redemptive sacrifice and Mary's compassionate participation in the mystery of salvation.
Rooted in Sacred Scripture and the Church's contemplative tradition, these meditations encourage readers to enter more deeply into the Passion with prayer, gratitude, and contrition. As Mary's sorrow reveals the immeasurable depth of Christ's love for humanity, readers are invited to examine their own lives, embrace the mercy won on the Cross, and grow in compassion through the example of the Mother of Sorrows. Particularly suited for Lent and Holy Week, this timeless work serves as a powerful companion for meditation throughout the entire liturgical year.

It's interesting to know what our blessed Mother saw, was present at, and felt in the passion of her son. These are not all dictated in the Bible. I recommend this easy reading.

The Passion through the Eyes of Mary
Lovely little book! Worth taking to Adoration, most especially through Lent but anytime you need a 'refresh' for meditating on the Passion and Crucifixion of Our Redeemer. For those with empathy, you will be edified. For those without, or have difficulty in the imagination; this will not only help you better understand Christ in His infinite Love for you, but endear you to His Most Holy Mother who also suffered unspeakably for you. Small enough to tote yet nice enough to survive travel. Not my favorite paper for a hardback book, but the recompense is that it is affordable. Again, lovely book! Thank you for printing OLD authors.
