The Life of Saint Joseph as Seen by the Mystics
Compiled from the Mystical Revelations of Five Visionaries · Published by TAN Books
Overview
Saint Joseph stands quietly at the center of salvation history. Though Scripture records no spoken words from him, his faithful presence beside Jesus and Mary has inspired generations of Christians to ponder the mystery of his life and vocation. The Life of Saint Joseph as Seen by the Mystics gathers together the private revelations of five renowned mystics to create a vivid and compelling portrait of the foster father of Christ.
Drawing from the visions of Saint Bridget of Sweden, Servant of God Marina de Escobar, Venerable Mary of Ágreda, Venerable Maria Cecilia Baij, and Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, this work presents a devotional narrative that fills in many of the hidden moments of Saint Joseph's life. From his childhood and preparation for his divine mission to his peaceful death in the presence of Jesus and Mary, readers encounter a saint whose humility, courage, and fidelity shine on every page.
While the Church teaches that private revelations are not equal to Scripture and should not be treated as historical certainties, they can provide profound spiritual insights and inspire deeper devotion. Read like a sacred drama, this captivating account invites readers to know, love, and imitate the guardian of the Holy Family more deeply than ever before.

Life of St.Joseph by Paul Thigpen
I have a great devotion to St. Joseph. I have always thought that he must have been an amazing human being to have been picked by God to be his guardian and protector while on this earth. This book opened up a world of knowledge that my heart has always felt. An amazing read. You want to know WHO exactly was this amazing man. The Saints given the insight reveal his greatness, his humility and the joy that lived exponentially in his heart.

WOW! Learned so Much.
It has been my goal to learn more about Saint Joseph. As the foster father of Jesus, we know what a wonderful husband as father he was, what a great source of inspiration the Holy Family with Joseph as the head of that family is. This book, which compiles various things seen by mystics is a beautiful insight into the man himself. From his early years, his betrothal to Mary, and his protection of the infant Jesus, Joseph is a beautiful representation of what surrender to God and His plan looks like. What I liked most about this book is the pictures the revelations painted for me. I could see it all unfolding and felt like I was watching it happen. With so little about St. Joseph in the Bible this was such a gift. This book has helped me to see this Saint as a true intercessor for me as I seek to know and follow his son, Jesus. This would be a great read anytime of the year, but especially wonderful for Advent as we journey with the Holy Family. Thank you to TAN books for the copy of this book. All views are my honest opinion.

The Life of St. Joseph as Seen by the Mystics
Paul Thigpen has done a beautiful job of weaving the narrative of Joseph;s life (and the Holy Family) into an easily readable work. This was a Christmas present to my daughter and me, with the intent to read it to each other aloud. We have had some good discussions. I greatly appreciate the brief biographies and background of the five mystics in the introduction. It has no footnotes or endnotes - which at times can get monotonous in other works. Thank you, Mr. Thigpen!

My husband and I are
My husband and I are enjoying reading this book, at times together, and sometimes on our own. We gifted this book to our three adult children at Easter and we trust the Holy Spirit to expand their minds and hearts to welcome St. Joseph more intimately into their hearts and minds, so that with his help, they will learn to better love our Lady and our Savior.
