Just one week into the 50 day retreat and I am enjoying the book. I’m writing daily in a separate notebook and gaining new insight into the Holy Spirit. Well written with many references to Bible and other writings.

No better resource for coming to know the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity

Posted by Katie on Jun 12th 2024

While I didn't complete this retreat specifically during the seven weeks leading up to Pentecost as it is organized, I am very impressed with the quality and depth of the content. There are so few resources to help us grow in love, devotion, and prayer in regards to the Holy Spirit, and this is the best I've seen. I also think that this could be an excellent book to help a mature teen during preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, or a study that could be done as a family following Confirmation.

Pentecost With The Church Fathers is a great Retreat to better understand the Holy Ghost and what better time than during Easter Season leading up to Pentecost, when the first Christians received him. Highly recommend to anyone who would like to learn more about the Holy Ghost and our Church Fathers.

I so enjoyed this book! It really helped me get a good, traditional understanding of the Holy Spirt. The quotes from the Church Fathers made it rock solid and the questions and areas to write in were such a help for prayer time. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
