I really enjoy Dorham’s monk’s series, especially The Monks Make Amends. This one is a little different. It is absolutely a picture book for the earliest of readers. With a maximum of 4 lines per page, though most have 2, and a maximum of 6 words per line, though most have less.\r\n\r\nThe description of this book is:\r\n\r\n““The knot of Eve&#039;s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. For what the virgin Eve had bound fast through unbelief, this did the virgin Mary set free through faith.” —St. Irenaeus of Lyons\r\n\r\nFew devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary have spread more in recent years than Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. When the faithful encounter trying moments, when all hope seems to be lost, they turn to their mother.\r\n\r\n“Come with me to my Son,” she tells us. I got to the page with the About the Author information and was surprised. I was surprised I was at the end, and that there was no information about the Illustrator. \r\n\r\nThe illustrations are wonderful. Even for young readers the book is a little light on content. That being said it is still a good volume. This is a beautiful children’s book about Our Lady Undoer of Knots. It is told through the perspective of a child learning how simple it is to ask Our Lady to undo the knots in his life. These things range from arguing with a sibling, behavior they aren’t proud of, reminding a parent about Our Lady and more. \r\n\r\nThe illustrations are beautiful and the story simple, just like our relationship should be with Our Lady.\r\n\r\nThis book is also a wonderful reminder to any adults of the beauty, power, and simplicity of this devotion.\r\n\r\nI highly recommend this book for children and cannot wait to gift it to children in my own life.\r\n\r\nI voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher.
