I have found this book compiling St. Gertrude's thoughts on the Sacred Heart of Jesus (along with his locutions to her) to be very helpful in a project I am working re/ a philosophical anthropology of the human person (mind, heart, and will).

A Profound and Insightful Book
This book is one of my favorite spiritual works and I like to give it to people I know. It contains many beautiful stories and insightful advice for the spiritual life. Another very good thing about it is that even if all one has is five minutes, this book is so profound that even reading only one paragraph can give great food for thought. This book is sure to help one grow in devotion to the Sacred Heart, of which Our Lord said to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque: "I set neither limit nor measure to My gifts of grace for those who seek them in My Heart!" This book is entirely worth it.
