Charming
I purchased this book for my granddaughters. I like it. The simple rhyme is very charming, as well as the illustrations. I love the old-fashioned push mower on page 16, and the pet fox, the fish symbol on the postman;s cap, and the WWJD on his license plate. The book teaches trust in Divine Providence in a not-so-unreal setting of a monastery which depends on alms for support.

Love these books
These are my little nieces absolute favourite books! They are so well written and memorable. The illustrations bring each page to life with a comical and endearing humour, making you feel compassion for the little monks as they struggle though each challenge, lead by Father Abbot, who has the patience of a saint! Overall, a huge hit at my familys house! We all love them! When can we expect #4??

The Monks learn a lesson
What a charming and realistic way to depict suffering and turning it over to God for relief.
