This beautiful book takes Fr. Adolphe Tanquerey's timeless treatise 'The Spiritual Life - A Treatise on Ascetical and Mystical Theology', originally printed in 1930, and presents excerpts for daily reflection along with writings of the saints and other theologians and mystics to guide us through the spiritual life in the Catholic tradition. This is right up there for daily reflection and prayer with 'Divine Intimacy, Meditations on the Interior Life for Every Day of the Liturgical Year' by Fr Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen O.C.D. Another incredible resource. Few books are of this quality or provide greater insight and reflection on Catholic spirituality than Cultivating the Spiritual Life. Just absolutely beautiful.

I was not expecting such a large book! But was I pleasantly surprised. The quality of the cover is sturdy and stylish. Overall I am happy to have purchased this book and look forward to using this for my spiritual growth with the saints.
