Attaining Salvation: Devout Reflections and Meditations

Some books are devotional. Some are theological. A few are surgical. Attaining Salvation falls into the last category. St. Alphonsus does not waste ink. It belongs on the shelf beside other perennial works on the Four Last Things. In short: this is a classic that does what classics are meant to do—it confronts, clarifies, and calls the soul upward.

An outstandingly beautiful read by one of my favorite saints!! I read a meditation each morning and it sets my heart on the right path…..St. Alphonsus Liguori is a master in the Catholic Faith, a Doctor of the Church and a great saint! He is the founder of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemed, better known as the Redemptorists.

This little book, in my humble opinion, is a must for your spiritual life and your spiritual library . As Robert Cardinal Sarah has said, “The Church is not made to listen, She is made to teach.” In reading this book, one can gain new insights into their salvation through the meditations of one of Holy Mother Church greatest saints, St. Alphonsus Liguori.
