Fr. Francis P. Havey, SS, DD was a priest and author of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In Retreat Companion for Priests, he walks his readers through each personal aspect of the parish priest's life, and asks various questions that shed the light of truth upon this unique and sacred ministry. The second edition of the work was published posthumously in 1950 by St. Mary's Seminary, Maryland, with the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur. It was also printed by TAN in 1990. Father Harvey died in 1945.
