The Rev. Fr. Delaporte of the Society of Mercy was a French priest and author of the nineteenth century. His work entitled The Devil: Does He Exist and What Does He Do? was originally published in English in 1871. It deals with various common questions about the Adversary and his many facets, covering such topics as temptation, possession, and false church societies. Father Delaporte's book was reprinted in 1978 by Marian Publications and also copyrighted by TAN Books in 1982.
