A priest who had lost his revereance for the Eucharist was taking the Eucharist to a sick peasant, who could not attend Mass. The priest irreverantly placed the Host between the pages of his breviary. After arriving at the peasant's house, the priest opend up his brievary to take out a Host but instead he found the Host bleeding and the pages stained with blood. The pages were preserved and numerous tests performed to confirm that it was indeed human blood.
